Village house from the 17th century. Comfortable rustic house with central heating, located in one of the most beautiful tourists places of the Dordogne : the area of Brantome, Venice of Perigord. Facilities in the village such as restaurants, bars (10 meters from the house), little food store, tobacco and newspapers shop. You can swim in the river if the weather is warm enough which is often the case in May. There is a swimming pool, but not opening before June. Middle age Castle to visit in the village and curiosities all over. Prehistoric and cave dwellings in the area.
<br>The house is from the 17th century : do not expect the floors to be leveled, a square and perfect environnement !  This "old lady"  is 330 years old, but offers  all the  comfort you need.  The house primary foundations are from the 12th century (dated with the stones). This house such as many houses in the village, was probably destroyed during 100 years wars (1337 to 1453), and rebuilt later on.
<br>There is a washing machine, an big oven, a micro-wave oven that does also mini oven, no dryer, but enough space to dry in the bathroom ;  since the house is very dry, the wash is drying  in a couple of hours inside. There is sunday morning market  with biological grown vegetable, and half of the population is English from UK, retiring in the douce France...
<br>We have a high speed internet connexion and there is 2 computers availables : one is a studio XPS dell Window  7 with 6 GB of live memory, and the other is an antic : an old PC Mac beige but  that connects also to high speed
